The Add-On for Beach-Heavy Weeks
Sand asks more of a battery than pavement does. A loaded E-Cargo Bike on the packed sand near the waterline burns through charge faster than the same bike on the Duck Trail, and the days you’d want to plug in are exactly the days nobody wants to go back to the house.
The fix is $50, once. A second battery roughly doubles the E-Cargo Bike’s range, up to about 150 miles instead of 75. We mount it on the bike before delivery, so it arrives as one machine with two charged batteries. You don’t install anything, carry anything, or think about it again until the week’s over.
Who actually needs it: riders planning long days on the sand, groups sharing one cargo bike all week, and anyone hauling near the rack’s 176-lb limit, because weight works the battery too. If your week is mostly paved paths and town runs, the standard battery honestly covers it. Up to 75 miles is several beach days on one plug-in.
Add it when you book the E-Cargo Bike, or call George at (252) 619-8329 and we’ll put it on the order.
Note: Bike colors and brands may vary.
